Nadia and Laurens met back in 2016 during their Erasmus University exchange in Pisa, Italy. Whilst Nadia was giving a presentation to the international students at the University, Laurens felt confident enough to leave his name and number on the student sign up sheet, jesting that they should meet for a drink (or 10) later that night. And, so they did!

Following a whirlwind summer romance, they decided to “give it a go” and spent the next year travelling back and forth between their university cities of Manchester and Groningen, where they both finished their studies.

In September 2017, Nadia relocated to the Netherlands, where they both decided to start their next chapter in Amsterdam.

After more than 5 beautiful years together, Laurens asked Nadia to marry him in Santorini, August 2021.
